The stairs going up to the Sun God Temple are uneven stones (not flat) and the steps are huge. Make sure to handle the railings and wear comfortable walking shoes when you climb the temple.

The stairs are not wheelchair accessible. If you have relatives who are using canes or have problems walking, visiting the Altun Ha is probably not an option. Also, if you have infants or toddlers, make sure to bring a baby backpack carrier where you can just carry your baby. These stairs are not stroller-accessible either.

The stairs going down is even steeper and just be careful. Always think safety.
