Captain Buzzy's Beanery: "welcome aboard" Top 5 Page for this destination Richmond Restaurant Tip by b1bob

Captain Buzzy's has the vibe of a quintessential neighbourhood coffee house. In other words, it is what Starbuck's and all the other national and regional chains aspire to be. The architecture of the building adds to the atmosphere. At one time, I'm sure it was a five-and-dime store. You can tell from the metal ceiling that is reminiscent of a Newberry's of yesteryear. They offer a wide variety of coffee blends and flavours. They also have a wide selection of cakes, muffins, and other pastries. In addition to the tables and chairs you would expect to see, they have a lounge area that takes those familiar with the 1990s TV hit "Friends" back to Central Perk. Lee, Scott, and I had some coffee and relaxed in the lounge area on a slow night in Church Hill.
