"Visit the Esipirito Santo church." Ribeira Grande Things to Do Tip by cachaseiro

The Espirito Santo chuch is a small baroque church on the main square in Ribeira Grande that in my opinion is more scenic than the big church up the hill.
It´s quite peculiar as it has two entrance doors next to each other and the decor inside is quite alternative for a church too.
There is also a monestary connected to the church but it is not in operation and the building is currently standing empty.
But you should pay this nice little church a visit if you happen to come by as it is rather nice.
