This family owned pizza place was established over thirty-three years ago and is a favorite of La Mesa locals. One reason for considering this place is that it is so near the SD Trolley station at Spring Street.

The look of it is not impressive, but as with most local neighborhood favorites, that is something easily not noticed. They probably haven't changed the look much since opening day. This is not a "tourist spot" so isn't pretentious.

They are opened seven days a week for Lunch and Dinner. Specials are offered each weekday at a reduced price and probably would be a good time to check it out. The prices are modest at dinner as well and pizzas are priced by the number of toppings chosen.

One warning I'd mention is that on Thursday evenings during the summer a popular event, The Car Show, will limit easy parking in this area, but would be an interesting time to visit if you like well cared for cars.

Of course, arriving by SD Trolley would solve the parking problem.

One person suggested taking a look at:

This Site.

Because sometimes there is a coupon offered for a discount at Sanfillipo's.

Favorite Dish: I haven't tried the food out here yet and when I do I'll give my opinion. Honestly, if it hadn't been so early in the morning when I arrived and if I had any money, I would have tried it out.

A few locals who really love it, said the service is friendly and efficient. The food is good, but what most intrigues me is that they place all the ingredients under the cheese on the pizza, which makes it more flavorful, IMO. They pile the cheese on the pizza too and they are generous with their portions of other items, lasagna, spaghetti, chicken parmigiana and that sort of dish.

They serve beer and wine.
