One of three docks on the London's Isle of Dogs and opened in 1802 to serve the demanding traffic of boats and ships at the time. In the late 20th Century, the docks went in decline and closed in 1980. Since then regeneration took place forming the Canary Wharf development and the Museum of London occupies one of the original dock's warehouses.
