Neuchâtel Off The Beaten Path: 9 reviews and 19 photos
Located only 5 kms from Neuchantel, is the small village of Valangin. We came upon it by chance, but once I saw the Castle and some of the old homes, I had to go for a walk, not a big walk, as this town is only small. I found it interesting! I also found a shop to buy a cake to have with our morning tea.
I saw the old Collegiate Church, a rather interesting old Church, but with the door closed. The Collegiate Church celebrated the 500th anniversary of its consecration in June 2005. Nearby was a clock Tower with a gate to enter the Town. There were shutter's on the house's that were different to elsewhere.
We missed out on a market day, would you believe there are three market days, and a chance to buy antiques!
They even have a little "Petit Train" to take you around and show you the town!
