"Kannoji Temple" Nishinomiya Things to Do Tip by Rabbityama
Nishinomiya Things to Do: 5 reviews and 20 photos
Kannoji Temple is a 9th century temple located on Mount Kabutoyama. It has a unique entry gate not seen at most temples. The temple grounds seem relatively small however there is a path leading up the mountain around back that takes you to an open area with a monument and the stone pile that make it much bigger. Since it is on the mountainside, it offers a great view of the city below!
It is free to enter and roam around the temple grounds.
Address: 25-1 Kabutoyama-cho
Directions: Although it is possible to walk, Hankyu and Hanshin buses can take you to Kabutoyama-Daishi-mae just below the temple.
