"Close to Nature" Rock Inn Tip by wabufamy

Rock Inn, Sagada: 93 reviews and 2 photos

When we went to Sagada, we tried looking for accomodation in the town proper but had really a hard time since most of the hotels were fully booked. I then called a friend who went there recently and suggested the Rock Inn. It was around a kilometer from the town (going back), and had a narrow rough road before you can see the place, so it's not really for those who didn't bring their own ride. I'm not sure though if they have transportation arrangements for a certain number of guests. The inn was so cozy and clean. It's made of pine wood which gives it a warm and "back to nature" feel. No aircon (who needs it anyway?), no Wifi, no TV, but with hot shower. Having kids along, we usually bring a portable DVD player with mini screen and discs to keep us company, so not having the TV was just fine. We got a room for 4, with 2 double beds and one clean bathroom. Linens are ok, and they provide thick blankets for those chilly nights. They have a restaurant which serves reasonably priced food, and areas where you can just hang around. If you're a backpacker, it wouldn't be practical to stay here because of its distance from town and most of the villagers. I've also heard that there were cheaper places in town. But we still love the Rock Inn because of its nature-inspired appeal.

Unique Qualities: At the back of the inn, you can see their small orange orchard. The Sagada oranges are bigger than the usual ones imported from the US, and much sweeter.
