Biddenden was only a small village, but a gorgeous one that I loved!
Biddenden is a typical Wealden village of Kent. It was 1st mentioned back in the 10th century, and Roman pottery has been found here.
I saw many lovely timber framed and brick buildings dating back to the 1400s, and from the Tudor era and later. The buildings in the village are thought to date back to the 1600s, with the West House restaurant one of the oldest, dating to the 1400's.
I walked to All Saints Church which was mainly built in the 1200s, although it is though there may have been an earlier Saxon church here. It was a lovely old Church with a graveyard. Lots of people were about, as it was the day of the Church Fete.
