Forn Gotic: "Great pastries and sandwiches" Forn Tip by Laura_Mexico

Forn, Barcelona: 3 reviews and 5 photos

This little cafe/bakery was a couple of blocks away from our hostel, and it was highly recommended by the staff there. They said their bread and sandwiches were excellent and not overpriced. We had breakfast here the 2 mornings we spent in Barcelona and were very pleased with what we ate. One day we even bought an extra sandwich to take away so we would have a snack for later on. They only sell cold sandwiches as far as I could see, but they are all good and rather big, and they also have a good variety. Also, you can eat on site as they have a bar and several small tables to eat your food, and you don't need to pay extra for that.

Favorite Dish: The chocolate croissants were really great, and my hubby was delighted with the iberic ham sandwiches. Coffee wasn't the best but good enough to start the morning.

Address: Carrer Ample, Barri Gotic
Price Comparison: less expensive than average
Directions: Close to the "La Merce" church, almost next to a hotel (which is not too visible but at least it has some flags hanging from the windows so you can find it). They have a red sign so it should be easy to find!
Price: less than US$10
Rating: 4
Theme: Bakery
