While the United States and a lot of the western world has been suffering from the economic downturn the last few years there have been several pockets that have kept their head above water. One of these is the town of my latest business trip Fargo, North Dakota and its sister city Moorhead, Minnesota.

A town of about 100,000 and a metro area of about 160,000, I found out and had a company outing this week at the World's Largest Pool Hall (more later). It is also the home town area or one of my all time favorite restaurants which I will put some additional tip information on both my Fargo and Moorhead pages.

Fargo is in North Dakota and Moorhead is its sister city across the Red River in Minnesota. The Red River is a constant threat to flood in the spring during the thaw and is one of the few rivers in the Northern Hemisphere to flow north. It flows north to Canada and empties into Lake Winnipeg.
