Attractive Interior of My Thai Bistro

The restaurant has a definite upscale feel to it when you enter, but it isn't as exotically priced as it might feel - at least not the food.

There is a lunch counter / bar towards the south side of the restaurant, but it is quite small.

There are a few outdoor tables, but many of them face busy Hawthorne Blvd, and those are not necessarily the most pleasant places to be.

As with many of the Thai restaurants in Portland, there are eccentric Thai-style decorations scattered about the restaurant.

Take-out is offered.

Lunch specials are on offer until 3 pm.

This restaurant is closed on Wednesdays.

Favorite Dish: The food here tends to be a bit more expensive for the quantity provided compared to Tom Yum on SE Woodstock, or Vege-Thai just down the street a few blocks. That said, the food here is reasonably good for the price.

The Thai Iced Tea is good, and in an impressive tall glass.

None of the other dishes really strike me as being extremely special over any of the others, but I do usually have the Pad Thai dinner when I have eaten here.

Address: 3500 SE Hawthorne Blvd, Portland OR 97214
Comparison: about average
Directions: South side of Hawthorne Blvd on Corner of 35th Avenue. 35th Place is actually the larger street - but it is one block east. Bus route 14 goes by here until 1 in the morning, and bus route 75 isn't too far away.
