Arlberg Strassentunnel is one of the longest tunnels through the alps with a total length of 13.972 meters and it is a very good alternative for cars to pass by the Arlberg and avoid all of the problems of driving over the snowy pass-road. In summertime it does not make sense in my opinion, it is even quite dangerous, when you considder that you will get dizzy after a while of driving at the same speed, one car in front of you and another car in your back and you have to keep that speed for several km otherwise the truck in your back will get as close as just a few cm to your backside and will start to hoop etc. when you are not willing to speed just like everybody else.
Next problem is the oncoming trafic, that is not in a seperate tube and every time a large truck is oncoming, you will be hit with a strong wind, that might be disturbing very much, when you are not used to it.
Arlberg Strassentunnel is part of the highway, BUT you need to pay an extra-toll anyway :

7,27 Euro for motorbikes
9,45 Euro for cars
4,36 Euro for caravans
Speedlimit is mostly 80 km/h
Overtaking is absolutely forbidden !
