"Le Coeur de Paris" Butte de Montmartre Tip by Maymuna
Butte de Montmartre, Paris: 208 reviews and 389 photos
I'm not normally into places that are packed with tourists. This is an exception. Sacré-Coeur is one my favorite places in Paris. You have an amazing view over Paris. And since there are so many tourists here you might as well make use of it and enjoy people-watching. My dad and I used to have this game where we would guess from afar where people were from and as they got closer we would confirm by the language they were speaking.
When you walk back down from Montmartre try to find a path with less tourists. You won't get all the artists and overpriced stores, but you'll get to see some really nice buildings along the way. From Montmartre you can also walk to Barbès, which is a very multicultural neighborhood and where you won't be surrounded by tourists.
Address: Montmartre. 75018 Paris
Directions: Part of the Right Bank in the northern section of the city.
