Havana: "Amazing Spot To Enjoy!" Havana Tip by Jerelis
Havana, The Hague: 1 reviews and 3 photos
This is just one of those places we ended up during own hike in the city of The Hague. Starting at the Binnenhof we walked towards the Paleis Noordeinde and via the adjoining neighborhoud we ended up at a very nice and cozy square with some inviting terraces. Lovers of terraces can have a nice seat here and have a look at the historical Berlage Kiosk which now houses a part of the café Havana.
With the renovation of the Buitenhof, the architect H.P. Berlage built this kiosk in 1924. This small building is made of a combination of concrete and bricks, two distinct materials used in his works. Originally it housed a newspaper stand as well as a ladies restroom underground. This small kiosk is right now a part of café of Havana (at the side of Maison de Bonneterie). The motto is: "Order and pick yourself and pay less". The prices are very attractive by the principle of self-service. We had a late lunch, but you're also able to order dinner and other snacks. Delicious and comfortable chairs make a visit in the sun at the Berlage Kiosk very enjoyable.
