"embu das artes" Brasil Things to Do Tip by ines2003

Brasil Things to Do: 4 reviews and 16 photos

The Sunday is the best I gave to visit it, since some as many apples, the step to the traffic is cut to install a craft fair, its streets are of cobblestones, and on them the positions with their crafts are installed. The place is surrounded by mountains, has an incredible view. I was with friends of the place, that knew the road since the center of the city of San pablo, to 27 km to Embu you give arts. I clarify this since there is another called place embu embas, and this at some as many as kilometers from the place. It is agreed for it I roll ways fox, Tavares, rodoanel and regis. The largest city is Itapecerica, from there one must take another bus that leaves them in the entrance of Embu you give till. The history counts that its name of M´Boy, charges large, in tupi Guarani, arose in 1555 and 1559. It was a place of Jesuits that were devout of our lady of the Rosary and they organized a festival of adoration to Holy Cross. Already in the 17th century, itself command to build a church and residence, where today is the museum of sacred art, in the historic center. From 1920, the city receives the painter M´Boy, and with the years they go arriving more artists as, Sakai and range, east wind and Ana Moyses. A lot of European walking for the place is seen, since he offers enough as restaurants, bars, business of clothes, events outdoors in free form. Also there is 3 interesting museums as that of the Jesuits, that is a church that dates from the century 18, the entrance he costs 3 real, a little further on this the museum of the Indian, with a similar price in the entrance. There is some small churches with style Jesuit, like the chapel of San Lazarus, built in 1934, and the church of the rosary, also of modern, but larger and extensive construction that the previous one. Near the main plaza a musical group of Latin America listen very interesting, with a repertoire in Spanish, somewhat different in the area. The museum of the artesanato offers high-quality manual works, and the prices are not expensive, the truth I surprised me, habia original things, as for example the oarswomen painted by hand, the ecological bags, the bijouteri, etc. This the arts center Mestre Assis of Embu, is with free entrance, and is agreed to the exposition of photographs, art and theater that counts the place. The room is extensive and there are events of theater, music, recitals. It opens every day, from the 9 until finalizing the last event. The place begins to be moved from the 10 in the morning, all the museums open to that hour, and the dining rooms of food per kilogram, they open from the 11,30 hs. The place me flavor a lot, has a very natural, very special air, the people seems very tranquil, very friendly, and always one something is carried of gift, I buy a bijouteri, and a picture painted by hand.
