Nairobi and Game Parks: "Trips to Game Parks" Kenya Hotel Tip by Suet

You can buy your tickets from the airline's website. We use KLM/AirFrance. To visit the game parks you need to get a tour guide like Bunson Travel (tried and trusted by me) to pick you up from the airport and take you to a hotel, then on to Nakuru/Naivasha/Baringo/Amboseli. Or you can get them to take you to Wilson airport for the flight to the Mara (very quick, it takes a day to drive there) then on to Tsavo.

It's really worth it to get a package. It's safe and you will be well looked after.

However, if you want to go it alone and *wing* it, whatever you do, don't use Wago Wago Budget Car Hire, run by Mr Njorgre. He's a con man and will take your deposit and not give it back in full, even if you return the car clean and full of fuel.

There are smaller camps which are cheaper, of course, they will be tented camps, so make your preference known to your Tour guide. Hell's Gate is one, Kichwa Tembo is another. Make sure all the park fees are included in the price.

Price Comparison: most expensive
Price: US$180 and up
Theme: Hotel
