We didn't get to see all the gardens as the Chateau was closed, but we did manage to view quite a bit from the hillside.

There used to be Formal gardens dating back to the 17th century, but they are no longer here.
In 1853, they were completely re-done on the orders of Charlotte de Hautefort and again between the years from 1950 to 1980 by the Baron and Baroness de Bastard.
The parterres have been preserved, but the lawn and flowers have disappeared to make way for the box hedges and topiary and the north terrace has also been planted with box hedges, alternating with rows of yew trees.
Even though and "all green" garden, it stills looks great!
