Horace E. Dodge and Sons Memorial
by littlesam1

At the center of Hart Plaze you will find the Horace E. Dodge and Sons Memorial. Its a water fountain mounument that is lit during the summer months. The monument was created because Anna Thompson Dodge bequeathed money to the city of Detroit to build a replica of a baroque fountain she saw in Spain. She wished it to be built in the memory of her husband, the auto pioneer Horace E, Dodge. It was designed by the Japanese American aritst Isamu Noguchi.
