Galvas (The Sweet Break): "Trendy new cafe!" Sofia Restaurant Tip by Ivo_K
Sofia Restaurants: 209 reviews and 412 photos
This is a relatively recently opened new cafe on the corner of Bulgaria and Gotse Delchev boulevards in Sofia. The working time is from 8 am till 12 pm. It is advertised as Greek cafe and has 80 seats inside but what I really like is their summer garden with 40 seats under the umbrellas right there next to Gotse Delchev boulevard. The coffeehouse is serving different types of coffee and tea (but you could buy there also packaged coffee and tea), non-alcoholic drinks, beer and sweets (cakes and typical Greek home-made sweets). The prices are higher than the average (they offer some combi promo like Greek coffee (it was in fact Turkish coffee at least as a way of preparation) and a cake by your choice for 4,80 BGN - around 2,49 EUR), but of all of the things that we tasted were really tasty and delicious so worth a try. The only thing that we didn't like is the fact that there was no air-conditioning inside in both premises for smokers and non-smokers inside or at least it was not turned on when we have visited it.
Favorite Dish: The home-made lemonade with peppermint (something like a non-alcoholic mojito), their chocolate and strawberry cakes, the already mentioned above advertised as Greek coffee.
Address: 105 Gotse Delchev blvd., Sofia, Bulgaria
Price Comparison: more expensive than average
Directions: The corner of Bulgaria and Gotse Delchev boulevards, between a bank office of Piraeus bank and a flower shop.
Price: less than US$10
