Be prepared for some climbing when looking around this Castle.
Looking through the Castle rooms, I found quite a few painted with medieval legends, and others had huge Flemish tapestries. The fireplaces were huge, one even had a door through to the Kitchen! There were Knight's armour on display and nice furniture.
The outer walls of the castle, surround an enclosed small French style formal garden. I walked along the walls to see the garden and the views of the Mountains. Also, in the outside courtyard, the views over the countryside of the Mountains, Lakes and Towns is wonderful!
In mid-June for two days, the medieval festival of St. John is held at the castle and takes over the village with middle-ages re-enactors, crafts and weaponry demonstrations and falconry show. It may be a great time to pay a visit!
