Tempo Restaurant & Bar: "Tempo - Italian fare in fashionable Mayfair" Tempo, Mayfair Tip by Herkbert
Tempo, Mayfair, London: 1 reviews and 3 photos
Tempo is a lovely restaurant, located in Mayfair on Curzon St., that serves up some delicious Italian fare. It is owned by Henry Togna, a terrific hotelier and restauranteur, who brings a simple yet elegant touch to the restaurant. We had previously stayed at one of his hotels so we were anxious to try Tempo and we were not disappointed.
The staff was very friendly and we felt very welcome among the tables filled with mainly locals. Our server was terrific and also very attentive throughout our meal. Prices were very reasonable and the food was of very high quality.
Plenty of choices on the menu and the wine list to satisfy everyone. They have a nice selection of tapas style small plates to share as appetizers while enjoying an aperitif. Selections of pastas, seafood and meats compete for your attention as main dishes. We were very satisfied with our choices and wish we lived in London so we could make Tempo a regular stop on our restaurant list.
Favorite Dish: We had a couple selections that were memorable. First was an appetizer - Bruschetta di Burrata, which was a bruschetta with mozzarella and marinated peppers. A bit spicy, but very tasty.
Next was a pasta dish - Ravioli Verde. Homemade pasta with smoked ricotta, spinach, and pine nuts.
And lastly, my veal chop was awesome, while my wife's pappardelle with wild boar tasted just like the meals we had had in Italy.
I can't imagine that anything on the menu wouldn't have been equally terrific.
