"Luxury hotel along the Thames" Royal Horseguards Hotel London Tip by Herkbert
Royal Horseguards Hotel London, London: 4,248 reviews and 6 photos
We spent five nights at the beautiful Royal Horseguards hotel while visiting London and enjoyed every minute of our stay. From the moment we were greeted by the doorman to the day we bid them goodbye everything about our stay was perfect.
The hotel is a stately old building that has been updated with all the amenities you would expect from a five star hotel. The rooms were nicely sized and very comfortable. Our room was on the fifth floor facing the Thames, which provided terrific views from the windows. We would awake and look out to see people scurrying across the Jubilee Bridge while we decided whether or not to get out of the extremely comfortable beds.
Every member of the staff that we interacted with was very friendly and went out of their way to make us feel welcome. The concierge was ready with suggestions for dinner and also had umbrellas handy when it began sprinkling as we were leaving in the evening.
We ate at the hotel restaurant One Twenty One Two on two occasions. The meals were excellent both times and though not cheap, were priced right for the quality of the food. Service was very good, wine list was good and the meal choices were plentiful. Would definitely recommend the restaurant.
All in all, I would say we were quite satisfied with the hotel and would stay there again without hesitation.
