The castle ruled by Kaji clan is best known as the place where Princess Gou one of the nieces of Nobunaga Oda first got married to the fourth lord of Ono castle, Kazunari Saji. Their marriage lasted only one year when they got divorced by the order of Hideyoshi Toyotomi because Saji clan sided with Hideyoshi's archenemy at that time, Iyeyasu Tokugawa during the battle of Komaki-Nagakute in 1584. Castle keep is not based on historical record but serves as a nice lookout to see Ise Bay and with luck airplanes which have just taken off or have been set for the landing.
