Visit the Cross of the Martyrs.
This peaceful hilltop retreat from the tourist hustle and bustle provides a gorgeous view of downtown Santa Fe. The cross itself (easily spotted from Paseo de Peralta, the street that runs below) is dedicated to Franciscans killed in the 1680 Pueblo Revolt. Bring a jacket, especially at night, because the wind up there can be a little cold. This spot was a favorite occasional hangout for teenagers when I was growing up there.
