In the suburbs of Dalian, visit the place if you want to find out more about its significance as a port city during the last dynasty of China. The museum in Lushun has some interesting artifacts although you would most probably be disappointed if you've been to the better museums in China. Still the narrow streets around the museum are photogenic and the nearby port with high security reminds you of the importance of the area.
