"A view of the Danube from every room" Hotel Victoria Tip by shrimp56

I have stayed here 4 times between 1998 and 2000. Now that the Art Hotel has opened with the same views and a much larger price Hotel Victoria is even a better choice.

The 2006 prices are much higher, but, in relation to other hotels with the same view the hotel remains a good value.

Unique Qualities: First -- every room has a view of the river, the parliament building and the chain bridge. That's hard to beat:) Second -- it is a 5 minute walk to the funicular to Castle Hill and to the Chain Bridge. In the other direction it is 8-10 minutes walk to the Bathyanyi Ter metro station. [on the Red line] -- so it's in Buda, but it's awfully convenient. Third: The rooms are very modern and the staff is very professional and helpful.
