Skovin Vinarnitsa (Wineshop): "My Sorta Shop #2" Bitola Shopping Tip by johngayton

Skovin is one of Macedonia's major wine producers whose vineyards are located around Skopje, at the top end of the Vardar Wine Region. I can't attest to the quality of the white or rose offerings but the reds I've tried, their Vranec and the Markov Monastir, certainly suited both my palate and my pocket (always a winning combo).

You'll find their wines stocked in many restaurants and supermarkets and they also have specialist wine shops in most Macedonian cities and larger towns.

Here in Bitola the shop is located towards the bottom end of the main street and is open weekeday from 9 until 9, until 10 on Saturdays and until 1 pm on Sundays.
