"Different feeling of districts" Istanbul Favorite Tip by Raimix

Favorite thing: Istanbul is a different place depending on a district you are. All the time I stayed in Sultanahmet district, so everything looked more “Asian” – it is more neglected place, more low quality goods to buy, people seems to be more religious, women with scarves, only men working as a stuff in restaurants, shops, and so on.

Anyway, after crossing Galata bridge to Beyoglu and Besiktas districts, all seems almost as “in Europe” – luxurious shops, more fashionable people, buildings are just a copies from Western world with some catholic churches included.

As locals told, it is hard to find more such “Asian” places as Sultanahmet district, Asian side of Istanbul is also more like Beyoglu.
