If you are traveling as a group with your own vehicle, staying at cabins (hytters) are the best option. They are private, self-serviced cabins that sleep 4~10 people.

There are thousands of these cabins throughout Norway and dozens around the area of Stryn. If you do an internet search, you may find several selections.

However, there are dozens of hytters that either do not advertise, do not have listings other than in Norweigan, etc. For that reason, it is best to contact the local tourist board and have them make bookings directly for you. They do not charge any fees and have many more listings and resources than the average traveler may have.

Unique Qualities: Cabins are fully self sufficient, with bathrooms, kitchens and beds for 4+ people.

Some also have satellite television, washing machines and internet. If you want any of these options, you should request them upon booking.

The cabins do not typically come with bedding (linens) or towels. If you need these, request upon booking and their cost will be advised.
