"How to reach Maikammer" Maikammer Transportation Tip by Trekki

Maikammer is conveniently located on Weinstraße, Wine Route, which makes it easy to find it when travelling by car. Parking inside of town is not recommended because the town centre is small and parking must be left for the locals. There is parking available outside with easy walking distance to the town centre. When I drove through Maikammer in July 2011, I saw that extensive road work was in progress, so I believe that there will be a ring road in the future with maybe more parking outside.
Train station of Maikammer is located east of town, between Maikammer and the village of Kirrweiler.
In case you want to travel to Waldhaus Wilhelm, I am almost sure that you would need a taxi. Busses might only leave up to Kalmit during the day.
