If you leave Delhi for Mussoorie in a car around 9.30 in the morning after a sumptuous breakfast, you will reach Muzaffanagar three hours later. It would be wiser to rest awhile and eat something here rather than risk a growling stomach further ahead. At Muzaffanagar head straight for the ‘Moolchand Resorts’ (132 kms) for lunch (Phone-9927026407).

Spread over a large area, this Resort also caters to walk in guests. Adequate parking inside the premises is an added bonus. Washrooms are available outside to the left of the dining hall. The dining hall itself is divided into two sections: one is a stand up fast food section, the other a relaxed sit-down area. The available fare would satisfy the most discerning of guests. Tawa stuffed paratha (1 no.), dal makhani paratha (1 no.), a tea and a cup of coffee came for Rs. 221/- (US$ 5/-) only.

In case, you want a quicker lunch with no frills, carry on along the National Highway for another 10 kms. Suddenly, you will be spoilt for choice as quite a number of ‘dhabas’ spring up along the left-hand side of the NH.
