"Mehane Yehuda Market" Jerusalem Things to Do Tip by leffe3

Jerusalem Things to Do: 904 reviews and 2,375 photos

For a real taste and sense of the everyday in Jerusalem, head for Mehane Yehuda Market west along Jaffa/Agrippas Streets.

As you would expect from any market, it's a hustling, bustling place of fresh produce, full of atmosphere and character. Central is the food section, but surrounding streets are also totally worth checking out.

If you can cope with the pace and crowds, Friday is a great time to go as observant and not-so-observant Jews buy in time for Shabbat.
