The Blue Dog Bistro, formerly the Rock N Sports Pub, specializes in American and Cajun food, in a friendly New Orleans-like atmosphere. They have Saints memorabilia in abundance, numerous Louisiana themed dishes, and New Orleans' own Abita beer on tap.

We sat at the quiet bar and started with an Abita Turbo Dog and an Abita Purple Haze, just $3 each. Laura had a gator po'boy for her meal ($12), and it was pretty good. I originally requested a fried oyster po'boy, but they were out of oyster, so I decided on a grouper sandwich ($10). The service was friendly, but not spectacular... fine for a local bar.

Blue Dog offers 35 televisions with DirecTV sports packages, 25 Beers on tap, and they are open 7 days a week. Their New Oreleans-inspired dishes include voodoo shrimp, Crescent City chicken, pasta jambalaya, Cajun chicken pasta, chicken Orleans, steak tchoupitoulas, gumbo yaya, red beans and andouille sausage, and crawfish.
