"Britain is not reknowned as a..." United Kingdom Off The Beaten Path Tip by MartinR

United Kingdom Off The Beaten Path: 420 reviews and 440 photos

Britain is not reknowned as a country of great food. However one area in which we excel is Cheese. Most areas have A local cheese, however posably the most famous name in cheese is Chedder. The town of Chedder is in the West Country just south of Bristol. The area is well worth a visit if not for the cheese then for the the limestone caverns many of which are open to the public in the area. Incidently other good cheese is Stilton (blue and from the midlands) Wensleydale (crumbly and from North Yorkshire) Double Gloucester and Red Leicester.
