This magnificent edifice with its main building facing Nevsky Avenue was built about two hundred years ago.
It is adorned with different bas-reliefs on Biblical subjects.
You can see several sculptures in the niches:
Apostle St.Andrew,
John the Baptist
and Prince Vladimir
who baptized the old state of Rus in 988 AD.
The interior is worth seeing, too.
The interior decoration consists of dozens of red granite columns, and a mosaic floor.
The semicurcular colonnade consisting of ninety-six 13-meter-high columns will not fail to attract your attention...
