Favorite thing: there are lots of Automated Teller Machines in and around the Huge Genting Highlands complex and you may find them at the hotel lobbies and especially at the casinos where there are a bunch inside and most of these ATM's accept international consortiums like Cirrus, Discover, Plus and Maestro but a caveat: you will have 2 charges when you withdraw money in these atms (the local Bank atm's use charge and your bank charge from the bank in your country and the basic charge for a withdrawal is 15 RM whatever the amount so If you withdraw money then withdraw big especially when gambling otherwise use your credit card when you are just shopping).

Fondest memory: Money already converted to Malaysian Ringgit from the atm so no need to change from money exchange shops but still better just to use your credit card to avoid the additional bank charges for using the ATMS.
