The wreck of the USAT Liberty was abandoned on the beach in Tulamben but following the eruption of Gunung Agung in 1963, it toppled over the drop-off. Now it is home to a myriad of fish, corals and other plant life. It is very easily accessed - the drop-off is just a short walk from the beach, although you need to take care over the loose stones at the water's edge. Parts of the liberty are still intact - you can carefully swim into the cargo hold. Lots to see in the scree in the deeper water too. A great place for an easily accessible dive.

Equipment: Many dive shops in the Amed area will drive you to the wreck site.
