A night at the Bojangles Saloon and Dining Room was the last event of the 2010 VT meeting in Alice Springs. Bojangles started as a guesthouse in 1935 and is named after Mr. Bojangles, the man who dances. It has won many awards over the years, including the Golden Backpack Award for the best bar in Northern Territory, and is a "must do" when you are in Alice Springs. Bojangles is an eclectic place that is really fun. There is a DJ and a small dance floor, but watch out, your singing and dancing could be live on the internet and radio. The food is pretty good too. Bojangles provides true Territory "tucker" such as camel, crocodile, kangaroo, emu and barramundi. I had the camel pie with chips for 17.50 AUD and shared the trio of dips for 8.50 AUD. It was especially nice that other VT members, who could not attend in person, could watch via the internet. It was dark enough inside that it was hard to get good pictures at night; however, there are three videoclips. One is of the inside and two others are of Aussie VT stars singing and dancing. Bojangles is a very popular place and a group should definitely make reservations.
