Venezelous Airport in Athens, coming out of the door from where you picked up your baggage, you will enter into a large area where there are some shops along the corridor. Go to the right and proceed to the far end of that corridor, where you will find a small shop called GERMANOS. You can buy prepaid SIM cards for any mobile phone that allows access to changing the SIM without having to 'unlock it', such as is necessary for iPhones. Otherwise, if you have an iPhone, you can purchase a very cheap package where the phone costs from 20-50Euros and a SIM for 5-10Euros more. I recommend all my visitors to buy the SIM called 'WHAT'S UP' from Cosmote, the Greek phone company. If you have more than one phone with a 'What's Up' SIM, you can talk for unlimited hours for 30 days, after which you pay another 5Euros to top up the card! Great Deal. Also, before you travel, or from any internet connection, visit the site www.rynga.com and pay 10Euros...or in Dollars if you have a dollar charge card, and you can receive an access code for both your computer (like SKYPE) or for your MOBILE, and then you will be able to call ANY MOBILE or ANY LAND PHONE for free for 120 days!
