There are several memorial plaques in the city.
You will be impressed by three memorial plaques at the entrance to Stakhanov Coalmining and Economic Technical School in Lenin Street.
The memorial plaque on your right reads,

In 1950-1951
a Soviet intelligence officer
“Colonel Kalinovsky” -
Kazin Nickolay Alekseyevich -
used to study at the electric mechanical faculty
of Kadiyevka coalmining technical school.

1979-1989
Alexander Orlov
(1959-1980)
Valentin Skryebnyev
(1964-1984)
Alexander Fomin
(1964-1984)
To those
who perished in Aghanistan

Here in August 1941
detachments of volunteers
mobilized from Kadiyevka were enlisted
and later became regiments
of the 395th Coalminers Infantry Division
formed in Voroshilovgrad
bearing the name of Red Banner Taman Division
that moved with battles from the Caucasus to Berlin.
