Restavracija Pungarsek: "The hidden treasure" Bled Restaurant Tip by go_with_uz

Bled Restaurants: 79 reviews and 92 photos

Restavracija Pungarsek is located out of Bled's centre but it's undoubtedly worth a visit (or several visits if you have time). It is open for lunches and dinner, has an open air terrace and traditionally decoraded inside room. The place is a real diamond for food and wine lovers. Here you will get a Michelin-star quality dishes for reasonable price. The chef, Dusan, has an international experience and an innovative approach to cooking and serving courses. The Pungarsek uses superb local products for creating light and mouthwatering menu. After enormous portions of most Bled restaurants we were glad to find out that here they serve human-size dishes, so we could cope not only with a starter but with a main course as well. We were so eager to try as many positions as we could that we came back four times. Fortunately there were four of us, so we shared to get even more impression.

Favorite Dish: Do try as many dishes as you can. Our favourites were the mufflon fillet, the beef fillet, asparagus cream soup with scampi ravioli, turbo lasagne, and of course apple and celery dessert. Oh, I can't write any longer, must come and have some snack, though I'm trying in vain to copy Dusan's masterpieces.

Price Comparison: more expensive than average
Directions: Follow the directions to Triglav Hotel or Bled railway station. It is on the same road as Triglav hotel, but a little further from the station. All in all it takes you about 3 or 5 minutes drive from the station or 15 minutes drive from the lake.
Price: US$31-40
