"The Most Spectacular Mirador of Tenerife" Isla de Tenerife Things to Do Tip by King_Golo
Isla de Tenerife Things to Do: 625 reviews and 954 photos
Having read through my Tenerife tips, you will often have come across the word "mirador", meaning viewpoint. Most of these miradores are worth stopping at as they provide you with a view that is often stunning and incredibly beautiful. The most spectacular mirador, however, is on the road to Taganana about 2km above the village. Far below you is the village itself, scattered over some steep hills. To your right are rugged rocks leading down towards the blue sea with some tiny islands surrounded by roaring waves. The street on which you've arrived seems to lead straight through to the horizon, but makes a sharp left bend at the very last moment, thereby disappearing behind a rock only to appear again some metres later, but now leading into the other direction. Moreover, there are wild flowers growing around you in basically every direction. If you are going to Taganana or are in the area, make sure to stop here!
Directions: about 2km before Taganana on TF-134 coming from the Anaga mountains
