Holiday Season, New York City: 19 reviews and 15 photos

Fondest memory: I had never seen so much security for a public event as I had seen in NYC for the new millinum celebrations! There were hundreds of NYPD decked out in the all so famous blue...ready for anything, or so it seemed! I even saw FBI snipers on the rooftops of the surrounding high rise building. Guns pointed into the crowd waiting for anything that could be percieved as a terrorist threat.
Nothing did happen....except for the blast of hundreds of fireworks! It was a wonderful experience, and despite the cold weather it was well worth it...even if we had to stand packed like sardines for over 6 hours!!!
