This 'gostilna' is an excuse to take a little longer walk (a few kilometers) from Murska Sobota, but hey - it's worth!

Ideal meal will include one of thier soups so don't forget to order seasonal ones, like those with pumpkin, asparagus... herbs... and delightful creamy wild garlic (Allium ursinum) variety in spring time.

As you'll notice by reading their menu - the restauran offers mostly local dishes, enchanced with creative immagination. Well, be brave and pick something unusual. You may be surprised. You may find Prekmurje kitchen kind of crossover of different cusine influences, but then again, what in Slovenia isn't?

Favorite Dish: Try excellent wild mushroom - boletus, prcino or as known by us - jurèki: grilled with thick black home made bread. A bit small portion as appropriate with mushrooms so it's not really common main dish (or it can by if - combine!), but it's excellent meal if you're not really starving from 3 days of no eating.

Soups... variety of them. In spring time we'd go to find wild garlic know as 'èemaž' or 'divji luk' in forests, it is one of those herbs that got really popular recently, but it's also used as traditional medicine for ages and long known for its properties and fine taste - it's slightly gentler than garlic and you will mainly eat leaves, though entire plant is edible. Here you got it served in its creamy form, full plate of it - yummy.

Very nice dessert: buckwheat pancakes with 'jurka' grape marmelade. Palaèinke z jurkino marmelado in Slovenian. We mostly drink jurka wine, but isn't it clever way to preserve it in such a harmless, sweet taste? It's distinctive. The grape is autochtonus to the region and has specific taste.... normally grown in the fences and pergolas by the homes so it's a bit difficult to get it to try unless you know somebody local. Well, now you know where to sample a bit of that lovely, interesting and healthy grape.
