"From Railway Station to World-Class Museum" Musée d'Orsay Tip by chatterley

The museum building used to be a railway station. Located on the left bank of the River Seine, this museum is smaller in comparison to The Lourve. However, it has the largest collection of impressionist and post-impressionist paintings in the world. Lots of Renoirs, Cézannes, Gauguins etc in this museum.

We used our PARIS MUSEUM PASS to gain free admission to this museum (there is a separate entrance for pass-holders). Like The Lourve, if you want some peace and quiet while admiring the masterpieces, you'd need to arrive at the entrance early and queue up. Having said that, the queue is quite alright, not as crazy as the ones at The Lourve!
