Known as Hyde Park and is just one mile outside the City Centre and very near the universities. The grounds is around 26 hectares and it includes a variety of facilties including children's play area, skateboard park, tennis cours, open space and landscaped gardens. There are statues of H R Marsden, Peel, Wellington and a memorial to Queen Victoria dotted around the park.
I used to enjoy wandering through the park on my lunch breaks when I used to work at Sycamore Lodge, a former NHS Leeds Office, nearby and I very much miss the green space today!
Address: Woodhouse Moor Park, Woodhouse Lane, Leeds 6
Directions: The park is on Woodhouse Lane and on the left hand side after the University of Leeds.
