Altiplano..is the name of the upland plateau:12000ft=3660m in the Andes of Bolivia and Peru.Corn, Weath and Potatoes are the chief crops, mining is the principal industry. Bolivia has no access to the sea, like Paraguay, both had lost the Gran Chaco War..against Brazil and Argentina.
La Paz is the Capital of Bolivia since 1898, the largest City and commercial center, it's main industry is clothing&weaving. Situated in a narrow Andean river valley at an altitude of 12000ft=3660, La Paz is the highest Capital in the world.
Titicaca, the largest freshwater Lake in South America, 3200sq mi=8290sq km high in the Andes between Bolivia and Peru at an elevation of 12500ft=3810m, the highest navigetable Lake in the World.
A dense population at it's shores have been the center of civilization on the Altiplano since before the time of the Incas.
