"Limmatplatz - tram station views" Limmatplatz Tip by picek
Limmatplatz, Zürich: 1 reviews and 2 photos
We stayed at this tram station (tram stop) for some time while waiting for a tram to the place in 'our district', on a holiday night, after midnight sometime - I wouldn't probably have come here if we weren't around with our friend who lives in Zurich, who knows where are right stations and how the night time travel works and so you by 'accident' get to meet some interesting modern creations and architecture - and you will find it a lot in Zurich; this tram station at Limmatplatz is fine example that good architecture design (combined with good functionality) can be applied at such public places shared with any user. One can notice the difference between ordinary and creative - it makes for a better value of the public areas.
I loved trees and skyline (whether dark or day) are inseparable 'part' of that building, how expressive their messages shared with users and viewers - an organic within geometric, live among stable construction, man-made vs 'natural'... I guess everyone has its own story what she sees in it and its many interpretations are thrilling component of a quite simple, everyday thing - a tram stop.
I am open for more suggestions from people who will read this tip to point me into directions where there are more such creative, functional public places within your own city.
