A bit of history:
Banqueting House was disined in 1619.

In 1636 Rubens's paintings are installed in the ceiling. It's represent the only scheme painted by him to remain in its original position.

In 1698 Whitehall Palace burns down and only the Banqueting House remains.
From 1896 until 1962 the Banquteing House was occupied by the Royal United Services Institute and used as a museum.

Opening times
Monday – Saturday: 10.00-17.00.

Note: the last ticket is 30 minutes before closing time.

The Banqueting House often closes at short notice for functions and events so you need to check the times before a visit.
